Dowty Bonded Seals or 'Bodok' seal is the standard, high pressure face seal for medical gas cylinders using Pin Indexed conventions. Compatible with BOC-Linde, Air Products and other rented gas cylinders  (usually sizes D, E and F) intended for clamp-fixed regulators, the seal comprises a steel annular keep, bonded to a nitrile butadiene rubber, used for its combine properties of elasticity and chemical resistance.

Suitable for use with oxygen up to partial pressures of 20000 KPA, the seal should be replaced at least every year.
